Guest Apartment

Our guest apartment has been fully refurbished and offers a modern well equipped kitchen, newly fitted bathroom with shower, one good size double bedroom, one twin bedroom, and a large living room/dining area with large open fireplace (working when needed - logs are usually stored close by) and double doors onto the balcony, which gives stunning views back down the Anzasca valley towards Calasca and beyond.

Both bedrooms have wardrobes and drawers/storage space for clothes. The main double bedroom is comfortably large, with a window looking out down the footpath, while the twin bedroom also provides plenty of space for the two single beds.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, gas cooker (hobs and oven), a modern stainless steel sink unit, and you'll find a kettle, traditional expresso coffee maker, cutlery, plates and bowls, serving dishes, cups, glasses and just about eveything else you are likely to need.

The living/dining room area is bright and airy, with a large original open fire at one end. The original old mountain house was totally renovated by our family some 40 years ago but elements of the original house remain if you know where to spot them, most obviously the fire place and the traditional, beautiful stone roof.

Piemonte Guest apartment living roomThe living room has a large modern italian furniture unit along the side opposite the fireplace, with storage for plates, bowls, snacks, drinks and so on. A sofa sits on a colourful rug in front of the unit. There is a TV linked to a DVD player, along with a selection of English language DVDs. There is also a multi-games table providing mini-pool, hand hockey, table tennis, mini basket ball and table football.

There is a table and chairs for dining inside, and a folding table and chair set for dining on the balcony - in summer we recommend breakfast on the balcony as you watch the sun rise above the mountain opposite. You really couldn't wish to be anywhere else!

There is an entrance hall with space to hang coats and leave boots, an outside light and a door bell for visitors! There is no landline phone in the guest apartment but mobile phone reception is very good (certainly on Vodafone) as the main phone mast for the area is perched some 200 metres directly above us on Balmo.

The main refurbishment of the guest apartment was completed in 2011, although we still have a few finishing touches to add, and at this stage the apartment is only available to friends and family for vacations, but we do intend to make it more widely available in due course. If you would be interested in hearing from us when we make it available, please let us know via the contact form.
