First mined in 1710, the Guia Gold Mine is situated in Borca di Macugnaga and is the first gold mine in the Alps open to tourist excursions and educational visits. It also has Italy's first mine museum.
There is 1.3km mine, flat and level for easy walking and fully lit. There is access for disabled persons and children.
We have two holiday homes situated in a tiny hamlet, just over 800m above sea level, close to the small town of Bannio in Valle Anzasca.
